The United Benefice of St Chad’s with St Alkmund’s is in Interregnum. We are looking forward to the arrival this summer of Revd. Sam Mann, together with his wife Aisha and very young daughter Evangeline. Sam writes:

Hello everyone. My name is Sam, and I am delighted to say that I will be your new Vicar. I am married to Aisha, and we have a beautiful eight-month-old daughter – Evangeline. We really are very excited to be joining you when we move to Shrewsbury in the summer. A little bit about me: I’m currently the Rector of four churches in South Shropshire, was born in the Black Country, grew up on Clee Hill near Ludlow, studied Creative Sound & Music at university, and then read Theology at Oxford while training for ministry at Cuddesdon. My hobbies include music, history, all things sport (did I mention I’m a huge Wolves fan?) and spending time with my family. So, when I’m not in a pew or pulpit, you’re likely to find me enjoying a good cuppa and cake in a café, having a nice stroll through town with Aisha and Evangeline, and yes – sitting in the North Bank at Molineux on a match day. I feel extremely privileged to have been given the opportunity to serve you as your Vicar, and I can’t wait to get know you more once we have moved and settled in. God bless, Sam |
